Busy interventional pain management practice seeking highly motivated individual to Join our team!
Work Schedule: Monday through Thursday, 7:30am - 6pm 4 day work week!
Responsible for handling front office reception and clerical duties in a medical clinic including greeting visitors, patient check in/out, answering phones, preparing schedules, clinic opening and closing procedures and otherwise ensuring contributing to the smooth running and positive environment of the clinic. Integrity, time management, and multitasking are a must!
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Greet/welcome every patient, warmly.
- Patient check in duties/Patient check out duties.
- Update/verify patient information, insurance, and HMO referrals.
- Maintain the smooth flow of communication between patient, provider, medical assistant, and all clinic staff.
- Provide assistance/information to patients as needed. Maintain cleanliness of all common patient areas.
- Payment collection and documentation as required.
- Appointment scheduling for multiple services.
- All opening and closing duties as assigned.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area at all times.
- Follow HIPAA regulations as directed.
- Follow all policies and procedures as written with integrity and honesty.
REQUIREMENTS:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1-2 years medical office related experience and/or training experience required
SKILLS :
- Excellent oral, written, and listening communication skills
- Effective organization and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple task simultaneously and work in high-pressure situations
- Excellent interpersonal skills and demeanor
- Proficient in the use of a PC; in a Windows environment; in the use of the Internet; and in the use of MS Office Applications such as Outlook, Word and Excel
- Proficient in the use of EMR systems. Experience with NexGen is a bonus!
Physical Demands:
- Ability to sit for long periods of time
- Ability to occasional stand/walk
- Ability to assist patients as needed with walking, sitting, reading and writing
- Ability to occasionally lift/carry/push/pull up to 30 pounds
