Texas Health Care, a Privia Medical Group North Texas is seeking a Medical Technologist to work in their Fort Worth Laboratory. MUST be an MT or MLT generalist experience preferred (Molecular). The ideal candidate will be collaborative, detail-oriented, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
The Medical Technologist must be qualified to assist the Laboratory Manager and Technical Consultant with the supervision of laboratory personnel and the performance of moderate and high-complexity testing in the laboratory.
The Medical Technologist's responsibilities include:
- Advanced computer and keyboarding skills.
- Ability and willingness to work independently as well as in a team environment.
- Advanced knowledge of laboratory compliance rules and regulations including CAP and CLIA
- Excellent communication skills
- Assist in the maintenance and operation of all laboratory equipment. Monitors daily, weekly, and monthly instrument maintenance as indicated.
- Adheres to the laboratorys quality control policies and documents all QC activities, instrument and procedural calibrations, and instrument maintenance.
- Records proper lot numbers of all controls, calibrators, and reagents.
- Assists in proficiency testing by assigning PT samples to testing personnel, able to perform sample analysis, and reporting PT results.
- Panther and GeneXpert.
- COBAS 5800
- MLT with ASCP or AMT certification.
Full-Time Night-Shift: 5 pm to 1 am.
