What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Controller, CPA position at Texas Health Care?
POSITION SUMMARY DESCRIPTION :
This position works under the direct supervision of the Financial Controller. The Assistant Controller is responsible for many aspects of the financial / accounting department. These functions include but are not limited to administration of all accounting activities such as financial statement preparation / reporting, payroll and accounts payable oversight, policies and procedures, internal controls, analysis, software enhancements, adherence to purchasing contracts.
EDUCATION AND JOB REQUIREMENTS :
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting required.
- CPA Required.
- At minimum, 6 years of fiscal management / accounting experience including General Ledger Journal Entries and Month End Closing processes.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability and willingness to work flexible hours to meet organization needs.
- Ability to uphold strictest confidentially.
