Graduate Nurse Residency - Emergency - July 2025
Come and join our Graduate Nurse Residency Program! We invite new graduate RNs to apply for this unique opportunity. The next cohort will begin on July 14, 2025.
Integrated into a Hospital’s education structure, the Texas Health Graduate Nurse Residency Program includes a guided clinical experience with an instructor-led core curriculum, a formal mentoring program, informative debriefing/self-care sessions and supportive 360-degree evaluations. Residents not only participate in the learning experience on their personally selected home units, but they also rotate/cross train through other departments to gain an expanded nursing experience vital to the complex patient care.
The Texas Health Nurse Residency Program is a comprehensive, evidence based on-boarding program with a 15-month employment commitment that offers new graduate nurses an exciting opportunity to gain the experience, judgment, skills and confidence to successfully navigate the complexity of hospital life.

• Work environment: Emergency
• Work hours: Upon completion of the Residency, anticipated hours will be full-time, (3)-12-hour shifts; rotating weekends, holidays, and on call shifts required
Department Highlights:
Texas Health Cleburne is a Level IV trauma center with a 17 bed Emergency Room, 3 resuscitation rooms and a busy fast track, 5 additional fast track chairs that manages 27,000 visits annually. This is a very busy ER in a fast-growing area with great outcomes and teamwork. The unit has great employee retention and tenure which leads to very experienced nurses training graduate nurses. It is a critical access hospital with great relationships and growth. THC covers the growing population of Johnson County and offers specialty services of Dialysis, Orthopedics and General Surgery. The unit has been recognized as Safety MVPs for the system and enjoys a great partnership with our physician group and engaged leadership team.
