Graduate Nurse Residency - ICU - July 2025
Come and join our Graduate Nurse Residency Program! We invite new graduate RNs to apply for this unique opportunity. The next cohort will begin on July 14, 2025.
Integrated into a Hospital’s education structure, the Texas Health Graduate Nurse Residency Program includes a guided clinical experience with an instructor-led core curriculum, a formal mentoring program, informative debriefing/self-care sessions and supportive 360-degree evaluations. Residents not only participate in the learning experience on their personally selected home units, but they also rotate/cross train through other departments to gain an expanded nursing experience vital to the complex patient care.
The Texas Health Nurse Residency Program is a comprehensive, evidence based on-boarding program with a 15-month employment commitment that offers new graduate nurses an exciting opportunity to gain the experience, judgment, skills and confidence to successfully navigate the complexity of hospital life.
Where you will be working:
• Work location: Texas Health Fort Worth: 1301 Pennsylvania Ave, Fort Worth, Texas 76104
• Work environment: ICU
• Work hours: Upon completion of the Residency, anticipated hours will be full-time, (3)-12-hour shifts; rotating weekends, holidays, and on call shifts required
Department Highlights:
Texas Health Southwest is a Magnet Designated facility recognizing excellence in nursing. Our ICU is a circular 18 bed ICU with two rooms on each side that are set further back. We are a general medical surgical ICU with a cardiac and neuro component as well. This type of unit provides a diverse range of experiences and patient types to help grow your basic knowledge in Critical Care medicine.
