Graduate Nurse Residency - Intermediate Care - July 2025
Come and join our Graduate Nurse Residency Program! We invite new graduate RNs to apply for this unique opportunity. The next cohort will begin on July 14, 2025.
Integrated into a Hospital’s education structure, the Texas Health Graduate Nurse Residency Program includes a guided clinical experience with an instructor-led core curriculum, a formal mentoring program, informative debriefing/self-care sessions and supportive 360-degree evaluations. Residents not only participate in the learning experience on their personally selected home units, but they also rotate/cross train through other departments to gain an expanded nursing experience vital to the complex patient care.
The Texas Health Nurse Residency Program is a comprehensive, evidence based on-boarding program with a 15-month employment commitment that offers new graduate nurses an exciting opportunity to gain the experience, judgment, skills and confidence to successfully navigate the complexity of hospital life.
Where you will be working:
• Work location: Texas Health Cleburne: 201 Walls Drive TX 76031
• Work environment: Intermediate Care-IMC
• Work hours: Upon completion of the Residency, anticipated hours will be full-time, (3)-12-hour shifts; rotating weekends, holidays, and on call shifts required
Department Highlights:
Intermediate Care unit (IMC) is a 22-bed unit, that provides comprehensive care by a highly skilled and educated nursing team. The department cares for acutely ill patients requiring continuous monitoring. We provide Holistic care for the patient body, mind and spirt as defined by the Nursing Professional Practice Model. Patients in IMC are considered at risk for the development of unstable arrhythmias and /or their condition could be potentially compromised. The staffing ratio is normally 4:1, we strive to have a free charge nurse as a resource for staff working on the unit. We also have a PCT and a US to support the daily workflow. We promote a multidisciplinary approach to care working closely with or physician colleagues and other ancillary departments to ensure our patients received excellent patient center care. Required certification to work on IMC are BLS and ACLS. We promote learning and sharing knowledge to improve our nursing skills and promote your career grow.
