Job Title: Marketing Manager
Supervisor: Director of Development and Marketing
Position Summary: Responsible for developing, managing, and implementing a marketing and communication strategy that will heighten Texas Hearing Institute’s impact, visibility, and reputation as well as promote client volume growth. Strategies include digital marketing, media relations, internal and external stakeholder engagement, and brand management. Interacting with and being accessible to all program departments will require working onsite most business days.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and communicate a strategic marketing plan that supports Texas Hearing Institute’s strategic plan and goals, including measuring, monitoring, and communicating KPIs.
- Develop annual and long-term strategies, overseeing all interdepartmental and external communications.
- Collaborate with all departments and teams to achieve marketing and communication goals.
- Work with Development staff to craft donor-centric communications and storytelling.
- Maintain Texas Hearing Institute’s brand identity and messaging across all communication channels.
- Develop, design, and manage marketing projects and materials, including brochures, newsletters, Annual Impact Reports, on-site TV monitor displays, videos, photos, fundraising campaigns, the Annual Gala, and the Annual Clay Shoot.
- Oversee and maintain the website in collaboration with the website management company and key team members.
- Coordinate, market, and oversee (as needed) internal events, like The Melinda Webb School graduation ceremony.
- Build and maintain media relationships and coordinate PR opportunities.
- Work with our SEO optimization firm to maximize social media reach and website activity.
- Execute a successful and ongoing social media campaign, including leading planning and content development, while engaging program department staff, committees, and Melinda Webb School PTO for feedback on content.
- Engage with staff, employee committees (DEIB, Rewards and Recognition, CQI), and the Melinda Webb School PTO to develop high-impact and relevant blogs.
- Coordinate logistics in support of staff attending outreach events, such as conferences, and attend events as needed.
- Provide marketing support to third-party fundraisers.
- Manage all marketing applications, vendors, subscriptions, and storage (images, videos)
- Manage Texas Hearing Institute’s graphic design needs.
- Oversee online recruitment and the initial orientation of volunteers to support program departments.
Required Qualifications
- Excellent interpersonal skills for fostering strong relationships with donors, volunteers, board members, fellow staff members, and other key stakeholders.
- Exceptional written communication skills, including storytelling, with expertise in editing and proofreading.
- A strong self-starter, highly organized, creative, professional, and adept at managing multiple initiatives concurrently.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, and Constant Contact. Knowledge of Monday.com, SharePoint, and WordPress are a plus.
- Skilled in layout and design.
- Strong knowledge of current and ongoing digital and social media trends.
- Familiar with using a CRM system (Raiser’s Edge preferred).
- Possess a valid driver’s license, vehicle, and the ability to drive to meetings.
- Willingness to work evenings and weekends if necessary.
Required Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree plus at least 4 years of experience or a combination of some college education and 8-10 years of successful experience in marketing and communications.
Salary and Benefits
$70,000- $85,000 based on experience, expertise, and accomplishments.
The generous benefits package includes 12 paid holidays, 21 PTO days, and health insurance, with supplemental dental, vision, and life insurance options available. Fully vested contributions to a 403(b) retirement plan are provided after one year of employment.
