Ranch Hand/Laborer

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Ranch Hand to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with animals and a strong understanding of ranch operations. This role involves various tasks related to animal husbandry, equipment maintenance, and land management, contributing to the overall success of the ranch.

Duties

• Provide daily care for livestock, including feeding, watering, and monitoring health.
• Assist in the management of equine activities, ensuring proper care and handling of horses.
• Operate heavy equipment for tasks such as land clearing, fencing, and maintenance.
• Supervise and train other staff or volunteers in ranch operations as needed.
• Maintain gardens and greenhouses, including planting, irrigating, and harvesting crops.
• Perform routine equipment repairs and maintenance to ensure all tools are in good working condition.
• Implement effective irrigation practices to optimize water usage for crops and pastures.
• Assist with general ranch upkeep, including fencing repairs and building maintenance.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of greenhouse management and gardening techniques is a plus.
• Strong supervisory skills to lead a small team effectively.
• Ability to perform equipment repairs and basic maintenance tasks.
• Physical stamina to work long hours outdoors in various weather conditions.
• A positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills related to ranch operations.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 50 per week

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
