What are the responsibilities and job description for the Materials Supervisor position at Texas Hydraulics Inc?

We have become established leaders in fluid swivels, along with electric swivels, combination electric / fluid swivels, fire apparatus swivels, and position sensing systems.
Summary: Supervise all Material Handling Team Members. Manage all materials movement in the facility, Shipping and Receiving, and liaison with Supply Chain and Production on shortages and transactions. Lead Cycle Counts and physical inventories for the entire plant in coordination with Finance. Coordinate outputs from Electric Assembly, Hydraulic Assembly and Mount to meet Shipping demand.
Essential Functions:
- Safely and efficiently deliver material to controlled locations and various machine shop cells.
- Gather and move finished products to staging areas and/or secondary operations.
- Read and follow written instructions and/or engineering drawings.
- Lead Cycle Count Program and periodic physical counts of inventory storage areas.
- Coordinate outputs from Electric Assembly, Hydraulic Assembly and Mount to meet customer demand.
- Master functions and lead Team Members in Shipping/ Receiving, Material Handling and Mount.
- Function as primary contact with Supply Chain regarding shortages, transactions and visual programs.
- Utilize a jib crane to lift and package products weighing over 75 pounds.
- Conduct visual inspection of products to ensure completeness and quality.
- Sets the highest ethical standards for self and others.
- Other duties as assigned.
Experience/Education:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Three years or more of Material Handling experience.
- Experience with leading a team.
Physical Demands:
Able to walk and stand for 10 hours, lift up to 50 pounds, visual acuity. Able to bend, reach with hands/arms, push/pull to move product using a pallet jack and drive stand-up and seated forklifts.
Work Environment:
Must be able to work in a non-air-conditioned shop environment.
The noise level in the work environment is normal for manufacturing.
