Description
The Director, Information Technology and Information Security Officer will provide strategic direction and day-to-day operations of the department in order to meet the needs of users throughout TIS. Will evaluate the use of technology and applications to determine priorities, allocate resources, establish project schedule to ensure timely completion, maintain integrity and security of computer systems and make recommendations to keep the system current with technological advances in hardware and software. Will create and support standards, processes and procedures necessary to produce deliverables from the team.
Qualifications
Education & Training: Bachelor's Degree required, Master's Degree preferred
Experience: |
The ideal candidate is a highly analytical, detail-oriented problem solver with 5 years of progressive experience in a hospital decision support function. |
Knowledge of information security standards, rules and regulations related to information security and data confidentiality and desktop, server, application database, network security principles for risk identification and analysis. |
Possesses working knowledge of various nursing and clinical departmental and operational functions and policies and procedures. |
Experience with an EMR application (preferably CPSI) and other currently used information systems with basic understanding of integrated clinical systems. |
Experienced in project management with proven ability to coordinate and prioritize projects, tasks and components along with problems.
