Texas Instruments is currently seeking a Layout Designer to join our team. In this role, you will create integrated circuit (IC) layouts that power cutting-edge technologies in smartphones, cars, satellites, robotics, and more. You will develop and prepare multi-dimensional layouts and detailed drawings of semiconductor devices from schematics and related geometry provided by design engineering.
About the job
As a Layout Designer, you will work in a collaborative environment to develop high-performance analog and mixed-signal IC layouts. This role offers the opportunity to learn from experienced engineers, use advanced layout tools, and contribute to the entire IC design process, from floor planning to final verification and tape-out.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to :
- Creating, optimizing, and verifying analog and mixed-signal IC layouts using CAD tools.
- Ensuring compliance with Design Rule Checks (DRC), Electrical Rule Checks (ERC), and Layout vs. Schematic (LVS) verification.
- Writing layout specifications, checking dimensions, and verifying final designs.
- Collaborating with design, packaging, and process engineers to optimize IC layout for performance, power, and reliability.
- Participating in layout design reviews and applying feedback to improve designs.
- Automating layout flows and optimizing processes for efficiency and accuracy.
- Debugging layout tools, parasitic analysis, and electromigration (EM) constraints.
