About the Job
The Technical Content Specialist is the gatekeeper to releasing quality technical documents and applying current standards to all TI documentation. These activities and results directly align with TI’s overall growth goals and objectives to attract, engage and convert, and enable customers to find and purchase more products.
This position requires understanding technical concepts, knowledge of customer needs/behavior, and technical writing fundamentals in order to describe semiconductor products/solutions to an engineering audience. This position requires managing documents across multiple teams and strong communications skills. The ability to influence others and detailed project management skills are essential.
Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Ensure on-time execution of technical content with focus on technical documentation with sense of urgency and engagement
- Ability to cultivate mutually beneficial partnerships with product line personnel / Proactively engage with business contacts to establish partnership (value delivered beyond execution of work projects)
- Comprehension of rules , standards, TI brand guidelines and application of each to ensure content quality, standards and process are met and/or exceeded for publication
- Ability to drive adherence to standards in a positive manner with positive relationships
- Demonstrate expertise and confidently present material to drive understanding
- Ability to creatively solve problems and improve processes
- Deliver final content in specified formats, authorize delivery channels and manage product associations and metadata for each deliverable
Minimum requirements:
- Minimum of 1 years of experience
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, or related field of study
- Excellent communication skills and ability to interact with multiple technical audiences
- Ability to teach and support engineers on tools and process
- UI: CCMS, Jira LitBug, Spotfire, Confluence, PCN system, Dashboards
- Ability to take initiative and drive for results
- Strong attention to detail
- Results and deadline oriented
- Customer-service oriented
Preferred qualifications
- Xml based authoring tools
- Basic understanding of engineering concepts and verbiage
- Ability to plan and collaborate with system engineers to deliver required content aligned with product line milestones
- Work with product line and content marketing to understand APL and RTM forecast to manage project schedules and collaboration
- Comprehend whole product deliverables at APL and RTM
- Provide tool, systems, and process guidance
- Understand dynamic content flowing from disparate systems; Guide product engineers on to how mitigate upstream issues
