TI is the world leading battery gauge IC supplier, used in products all over the world, including phones, notebook computers, and industrial applications. The gauges utilize industry-leading and patented algorithms to determine the state of charge and health of rechargeable batteries. These algorithms are implemented in firmware on the high performance & low power ICs. The test manager will lead a team of test engineers who deliver high quality, high performance, and cost-optimized test solutions to support the development and production phases of the product lifecycle. In addition to project deliverables, the test leader will also contribute directly to Design for Test methodologies, continuous accuracy improvement, and develop/implement new and innovative methods to improve throughput, quality, and cost. A significant deliverable for this role is talent identification and development with a focus on early career individuals. The candidate will also regularly interface and communicate with senior management reporting on project status, scorecard objectives, areas of innovation and next steps for continuous improvement.

Responsibilities Include
- Lead a team of several test engineers to deliver quality probe and final test solutions (hardware and software) on time, and at cost/performance entitlement.
- Identify and drive resolution for issues at production sites impacting productivity, cost and quality
- Manage team to meet aggressive new product development milestones.
- Work across product lines and with TMG to develop test road map that meets product lines test needs including high power density and low cost.
- Develop test strategies and identify methodology to improve test development cycle time and enable capability prior to roadmap needs.
- Present analysis and conclusions to internal customer teams in a comprehensive and effective manner
- Manage, coach, and train a team of test engineers to a higher level of performance and ability
Minimum requirements:
- Bachelors in Electrical Engineering or related degree program
- 6 years of relevant experience
- Proven history of technical accomplishment, leadership, planning, coordinating, and executing on multiple new product projects simultaneously
- Great breadth of test platform and test technologies
- Advanced level of understanding and use of Advantest and Teradyne/Eagle ATE (ETS-800)
- Strong interpersonal leadership and communications skills (both verbal and written)
- Experienced in driving cross functional teams.
- Test Methodology knowledge and strong debug skills.
- General coding and programming skills.
- Experienced in working with assembly and wafer fabrication sites to guarantee schedule, cost and quality.
- The candidate must have an overall passion for success and a continuous improvement mindset.
- Experienced in sustaining analog engineering operations.
- Demonstrated strong analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Track record of innovation in the test methods resulting cost reduction and development cycle time reduction
- Willingness to adopt new methods/procedures
- Experience with automotive development (functional safety)
- Demonstrated leadership skills
- Ability to work in teams and collaborate effectively with people in different functions
- Strong time management skills that enable on-time project delivery
- Demonstrated ability to build strong, influential relationships
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment
- Ability to take the initiative and drive for results
