What are the responsibilities and job description for the QA/QC Technician position at Texas Internal Pipe Coating?
**Duties:**
- Perform quality audits to verify products meet specifications
- Conduct data collection and analysis to identify trends and areas for improvement
- Collaborate with production teams to address quality issues promptly
- Ensures quality of the protective coating application process.
- Knowledge of each process of the protective coating application process including Thermal Clean, Blasting, End Cut, Prime, Top Coat and Final.
- Assists in directing employees in quality assurance inspection and testing as directed, including final inspection to assure that establishment and regulatory standards are met.
- Reviews quality assurance specifications and production schedules to determine method of conducting inspections, tests, sequence of operations and work assignments.
- Works with QA/QC Manager to ensure equipment used to detect coating quality is properly maintained and functioning.
- Ensures all QA/QC documentation is properly kept and maintained in accordance with standard operating procedures and ISO requirements.
- Must obtain a thorough knowledge of and commitment to company safety policies.
- Must obtain a thorough knowledge of blasting standards of surface preparation.
- Perform various testing regarding the application of pipe coating
- Differential Scanning Calorimetry (DSC) testing
- Document incoming materials quality
- Adhesion testing using P.A.T.T.I. tester
- Dry Film Thickness testing on both R2 and R3 pipe joints as well as all custom work.
- Environmental reading (temperature, humidity and dew point)
- Abrasive testing (i.e. sieve analysis.)
- Anchor profile testing
- Maintains documented information regarding testing results
- Wears proper PPE when required
- Attends Production meetings.
- Performs additional test specified or required by customer.
- **Experience:**
- Proven experience in Quality Assurance/Quality Control roles (2 years )
- Familiarity with QA/QC procedures and standards
- Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments
- Ability to analyze data and generate quality reports
- Knowledge of CGMP regulations and quality assurance principles
- AMPP CIP1 Certifcation (Preferred)
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
