We are seeking a detail-oriented and friendly Medical Receptionist to join our healthcare team. Responsibilities
- Greet patients and visitors warmly, providing exceptional customer service.
- Schedule appointments and manage patient flow to optimize clinic efficiency.
- Collect patient information, including medical histories and insurance details.
- Process medical collections and handle billing inquiries as needed.
- Maintain accurate patient records using electronic health record systems such as Epic or Meditech.
- Assist with medical coding, ensuring proper documentation of ICD-10 codes.
- Answer phone calls, respond to inquiries, and direct calls to appropriate staff members.
- Support office operations by managing supplies, filing documents, and maintaining a clean workspace.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure seamless communication regarding patient care.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Medical Receptionist or in a similar role within a medical office or clinic setting is preferred.
- Familiarity with electronic health record systems (Athena) is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of medical coding practices and ICD-10 coding is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in managing patient records and appointments.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written; bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply.
