At Texas Lawyers' Insurance Exchange (TLIE), we are a member-owned, Austin-based provider of legal malpractice (professional liability) insurance serving attorneys and judges across Texas. We are looking for a motivated and dynamic Professional Liability Underwriter to join our team. This hybrid role allows you to balance in-office collaboration and remote work, with in-person work required Monday through Wednesday and the option to work from home on Thursdays and Fridays.

Required Skills & Experience:

Preferred Skills & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent business/work experience
- Insurance underwriting experience
- General Lines P&C License
Responsibilities:
As a TLIE Underwriter, you will be responsible for:
- Evaluating and recommending the acceptance or declination of new and renewal business applicants.
- Determining pricing and terms for accepted applicants based on various risk factors.
- Assisting policyholders with inquiries related to their policies and any proposed changes.
- Performing other duties as assigned.
All responsibilities must be carried out in accordance with TLIE’s underwriting guidelines, service standards, and company and department objectives.
Salary Range: $60,000 - $75,000, with performance-based bonus opportunities.
