Job Summary :
Under the general supervision of the Logistics Manager, the Terminal Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the terminal, ensuring efficient and safe handling, storage, and distribution of products. This role involves managing staff, maintaining equipment, and ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
Roles and Responsibilities :
- Oversee operations where product is loaded to and unloaded from trucks, railcars, or other methods of transportation.
- Manages schedules of multiple inbound and outbound shipments and coordinates the work of terminal staff to ensure that loading and unloading activities meet time constraints.
- Ensures terminal operates within productivity and performance standards established by the organization.
- Inspect equipment and monitors operations in compliance with federal, state, local, or organizational safety standards.
- Arranges for equipment repair or preventative maintenance as needed.
- Prepare and submit regular reports on terminal operations, including inventory levels, safety incidents, and performance metrics.
- Promote safe practices, enforcing safety and security standards, and conducting risk assessments.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
