POSITION SUMMARY

Title clerks are responsible for processing and maintaining boat titles, registrations, and related documentation ensuring that state and federal regulations are met.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Duties (Most Important to Least Important)


Process and prepare boat titles and registrations for all sold vessels. Ensure accurate documents are submitted to state and local agencies.


Serve as a point of contact for inquiries regarding title and registrations ensuring prompt follow-ups and resolutions.


Work with sales, finance, and service departments to ensure all required documentation for the transaction is accurate and complete.


Maintain and organize all records of titles and other relevant paperwork in accordance with state laws and store policies. Ensure documents are up to date.


Stay updated on title, registration, and licensing laws ensuing compliance with state and federal regulations.


Interact with DMV office in various states as needed.


All other duties as assigned.


SKILLS

  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a high-volume, fast paced environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.


QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 1 year of experience in title and registration processing.
