Cardiac ICU Staff Nurse

CVICU RN – Full-Time – Days or Nights (Rotating Weekends)

Location: Ocala, FL
Salary Range: $32.00 – $48.00/hr (based on experience)
Night Shift Differential: $4.25/hr
Sign-On Bonus:

• $10,000 for Day Shift

• $20,000 for Night Shift
  Relocation Assistance: Case by Case

Position Overview

Join a high-acuity CVICU team in Ocala, FL, delivering specialized care for critically ill cardiovascular patients. This is a prime opportunity for experienced ICU RNs—or PCU nurses ready for the next step—to grow within a Level I Trauma and Comprehensive Stroke Center offering advanced heart and neurological services.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver critical care to CVICU patients, including ventilator and vasopressor management

• Serve as a patient and family advocate, protecting dignity and confidentiality

• Administer medications and monitor for therapeutic effectiveness and adverse reactions

• Educate patients and families on medications, treatment plans, and recovery expectations

• Collaborate with physicians, RTs, and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care

• Commit to quality improvement, patient safety, and excellence in clinical practice

Qualifications

• Active Florida RN license or compact license (must convert to FL within 60 days)

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required, BSN preferred

• 1 year of recent ICU or PCU RN experience required

• BLS (within 30 days of hire)

• ACLS (within 90 days of hire)

• Strong critical thinking, communication, and teamwork skills
