📍 Location: Gainesville, FL
🕒 Schedule Options:

• Day Shift: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM, Rotating Weekends

• Evening Shift: 11:00 AM – 7:30 PM or 12:00 PM – 8:30 PM, Monday–Friday (No Weekends)

💰 Salary:

• $32.91 – $45.25/hour based on experience

• Shift Differentials: $2.00 for Evenings and Weekends

• Sign-On Bonus: Up to $15,000

• Relocation Assistance: Case-by-case

Position Summary

As an RN Case Manager for the Observation Unit, you’ll take the lead in progressing patient care efficiently through the continuum. You will work closely with physicians, patients, and the care team to make timely admission/discharge decisions while proactively addressing barriers and discharge planning needs. This is a fast-paced, high-accountability role best suited for strong communicators, multitaskers, and problem solvers.

Key Responsibilities

• Apply InterQual criteria to assess and support patient status and progress

• Coordinate care plans and discharge planning with healthcare teams

• Escalate delays or barriers in care progression when needed

• Ensure timely and appropriate utilization of resources

• Refer patients with complex psychosocial or discharge needs

• Educate patients and families on care plans, transitions, and healthcare access

• Maintain documentation of care coordination and discharge activities

Qualifications

• Licensure: Current FL RN License or Compact (with FL license obtained within 60 days)

• Certifications: BLS (AHA) required within 30 days

• Education: Associate Degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred

• Experience:

  • 1 year in RN Case Management

  • Strong InterQual experience required

  • Utilization review experience preferred

  • Insurance-based case management background welcomed
