About the Role
Join a premier healthcare provider at a large acute care hospital in Gainesville, FL , and lead as the Director of Case Management . In this role, you’ll oversee a team of 40–50 FTEs, ensuring seamless care coordination, discharge planning, and optimal resource utilization. This is a leadership position reporting to the Division VP of Case Management, offering opportunities for professional growth and advancement.
Key Responsibilities
✔️ Direct and evaluate departmental operations, including case management models, staffing, and use of information technologies.
✔️ Allocate resources effectively to meet productivity and quality goals.
✔️ Oversee core case management functions, including care coordination, discharge planning, and compliance with policies and SOPs.
✔️ Collaborate with C-Suite leaders, including the CFO, CMO, and CNO, to achieve established goals and expectations.
✔️ Assess and improve department performance through data analysis and sustainable performance improvement initiatives.
✔️ Build strong relationships with key stakeholders, including ancillary service leaders, Ethics & Compliance, and Legal teams.
✔️ Ensure adherence to regulatory standards and organizational policies.
✔️ Provide executive-level leadership and serve as a subject matter expert in case management.
Qualifications
Active RN License (Florida license required; compact licensure accepted – must apply for FL license).
Bachelor’s Degree Required | Master’s Degree Preferred (Nursing, Health Administration, or Business Administration).
At Least 2 Years of Recent (Within Last 2 Years) Large Acute Care Director of Case Management Experience Required.
Strong nursing background with extensive executive experience (working with C-Suite leaders).
Excellent communication, presentation, and motivational skills.
Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, work with minimal supervision, and adapt quickly to change.
