Float Pool RN - Medical Surgical
Location: Gainesville, FL
Hourly Pay: $43.00/hour (flat rate, regardless of experience)
Shift Differentials:
Nights: $4.25/hour
Weekends: $3.00/hour
Sign-On Bonus: Up to $20,000
Relocation Assistance: Available on a case-by-case basis
401(k) Match: 100% on 3-9% of pay
About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Float Pool RN (Med-Surg) to provide high-quality patient care across multiple units in an acute care setting. This role requires flexibility, adaptability, and strong clinical judgment while floating between different medical-surgical units.
Available Shifts:
Nights: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM (Rotating Weekends)
Important Notes:
Candidates must live within a commutable distance (under 60 minutes from the facility).
Must be comfortable with a 7:1 nurse-to-patient ratio.
In-person interview required (including shadowing, facility tour, and admin interview).
Key Responsibilities:
Provide patient-centered care across various med-surg units.
Assess, plan, and implement nursing interventions based on patient conditions.
Adapt to different unit workflows and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
Serve as a patient and family advocate while maintaining confidentiality.
Ensure adherence to all hospital safety and compliance standards.
Qualifications:
1 years of recent acute care med-surg RN experience required.
Must be flexible with floating to multiple units.
Active RN license in Florida or multistate compact eligibility.
BLS certification required within 30 days of hire.
AHCA Level 2 background screening & fingerprinting required.
Candidates with 3 years of RN experience & a compact license must apply for a Florida RN license.
