Position Overview:
The Manager of Med-Surg RN will oversee the operations of a newly remodeled and upgraded 42-bed Med-Surg unit. This leadership role includes supervising a dedicated team of 57 FTEs, including Clinical Nurse Coordinators (CNCs), RNs, LPNs, and Patient Care Technicians (PCTs). You will ensure high-quality care delivery, staff management, and achievement of department goals related to service, quality, and compliance. Job Responsibilities:
Provide clinical and operational leadership for the Med-Surg unit.
Coordinate patient care, ensuring optimal outcomes through interdisciplinary collaboration.
Manage personnel, resources, and budgets while maintaining high-quality care.
Support performance improvement initiatives to enhance patient safety, satisfaction, and clinical outcomes.
Ensure compliance with organizational, safety, and regulatory standards.
Qualifications:
Experience: 2-3 years of recent acute care RN leadership experience in a Supervisor or Manager role is required.
Education: Associate’s in Nursing required; BSN preferred.
Licensure: Active Registered Nurse License or Advanced Nurse Practitioner License in Florida or multistate.
Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; must be willing to obtain ACLS, PALS, and Neonatal Resuscitation certifications within 30 days of employment.

This position oversees a 42-bed Med-Surg unit with typical Med-Surg patients.
The facility is a 238-bed acute care hospital serving Bay County, offering services including cardiac, orthopedic, stroke, pediatric care, and a Level III NICU and Pediatric Intensive Care Unit.
Staffing includes new grad RNs, LPNs, and PCTs.
