Your Role as Obstetric Surgery Manager
As the Obstetric Surgery Manager , you’ll ensure exceptional patient care and operational excellence in a Level III NICU and Maternal Designation 4 environment. Here’s what you’ll do:
- Oversee daily operations and staffing for pre-op, post-op, and 7 operating rooms (growing to 9), ensuring safe and compassionate care for mothers and newborns.
- Lead a team delivering high-quality obstetric and surgical services, including advanced procedures and robotic-assisted surgeries.
- Implement evidence-based practices to enhance patient safety, streamline workflows, and improve clinical outcomes.
- Ensure compliance with all policies, procedures, and regulatory standards, including equipment maintenance and accreditation requirements.
- Manage admissions, discharges, and interdisciplinary coordination to maintain efficient throughput.
- Mentor and develop your team, fostering a culture of accountability, recognition, and continuous improvement.
- Drive initiatives to elevate patient satisfaction and differentiate the organization as a leader in maternal and surgical care.

Who We’re Looking For
To succeed in this role, you’ll need:
- Experience: 1 year of leadership experience in an obstetric or surgical setting; 10 years preferred for top-tier candidates.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) required.
- Certifications: Current RN license in Texas, BLS required; ACLS, NRP, FHM, and RNC-OB certifications preferred. Specialty certification must be obtained within 6 months of hire.
- Skills: Strong communication, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
