JOB SUMMARY: The Regional Director directs and manages TOSA’s Southern region’s functions in support of organizational and regional policies, goals, and objectives established by the Chief Executive Officer and the Governing Board. This position is required on occasions to travel by company or personal automobile or commercial aircraft to accomplish the job responsibilities. The incumbent will have access to confidential material and needs to use discretion with this information while strictly adhering to the Texas Organ Sharing Alliance confidentiality policy.
WORK SCHEDULE: The Regional Director position is a full-time position. Normal office hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. The employee may occasionally have to work evenings or weekends, as needed.
KEY FUNCTIONS AND DUTIES:
- Collaborates with the Chief Clinical Officer, Director of Human Resources, Director of Hospital Services, Director of Family Services, Director of Communications on the following:
- Interviewing and hiring regional staff for all departments
- Regional goal-setting and performance improvement initiatives specific to the Southern region
- Annual performance evaluations of regional staff
- Disciplinary action for regional staff
- Manages and helps facilitate the administrative operations of the southern region employees including equipment needs, office access, and other needs as requested from the corporate office
- Develops and maintains positive and professional relationships with TOSA partners and stakeholders
- Collaboratively assesses the function and operation of the region and develops plans to facilitate the achievement of organizational objectives
- Consults with the Clinical Services’ leadership with questions pertaining to the clinical and technical aspects of organ donor evaluation
- Consults with the Family Services department to coordinate and facilitate donor family and recipient volunteer, memorial events
- Consults with the Director of Hospital Services to implement best practices to improve hospital partnerships
- Performs other duties as required
Qualifications
REQUIREMENTS:
- Fluent in Spanish.
- Bachelor’s degree in health care or related field of study.
- Master’s degree preferred
- Healthcare professional with three to five years of medical field and/or OPO experience
- Must have five to ten years of hospital management experience.
- Ability to utilize teamwork, technical, analytical, problem solving, organizational and communications skills.
- Must be able to function in environments of high emotional stress.
- Ability to interact with hospital administrators, internal TOSA leadership and vendors in a professional manner
