What are the responsibilities and job description for the Business Development Representative position at Texas Original?
We are looking for the next Business Development Representative to join our rapidly expanding business development organization. You’ll be the tip of the spear – a part of the team who are first faces that the TX medical community meets and learns from about our business. You’ll research the right organizations for us to reach out to, you’ll be the person to engage and evaluate the right partners for us and you’ll qualify sales opportunities. You’ll get to work alongside an extremely passionate and supportive team, but most importantly you’ll jumpstart your career in a fast-growing nascent industry.
This role is oriented to be a training program and career development spring-board. You’ll learn about our marketplace and customer base while evolving your business knowledge and customer-engaging skill sets. Ideally, we’ll grow together, and you’ll take on increasing roles within our business.
\n- Introduce the TX Medical Cannabis Compassionate Use Program and explain the benefits of Physician and Patientregistrations
- Product/Program Knowledge:Learn and maintain an in-depth understanding of:
- Compassionate Use Program, its’ requirements and benefits to effectively communicate the program’s value to healthcare professionals
- Texas Original products and their uses to improve symptoms related to the Qualifying Conditions for the program
- Utilize prospecting and research tools, create targeted contact and company lists to engage
- Develop new business leads, qualify partnership opportunitieswith healthcare professionals, including doctors, clinics, hospices, independent living centers and other health-related entities executed through:
- Outbound sales: Email, cold calling, social messagingusingHubspotmanagement tools
- Qualifying inbound leads
- CRM and Pipeline Management: Effectively manage a pipeline of leads by documenting and tracking calls, follow-ups, and interactions within Hubspot
- Reporting: Analyze reporting and provide regular updates on results of outreach efforts, call outcomes, and progress towards goals
- Follow-Up: Regularly follow up with leads who have shown interest, nurturing relationships with your team to effectuate Doctor registration in the program
- Customer Service: Address any questions or concerns from healthcare professionals in a timely and informative manner to ensure a smooth registration process
- Strategize with team members to innovate & improve the overall sales development process
- Work internally with other departments to ensure proper quality and quantity of leads and opportunities
- BS/BA required
- Excellent written and oral communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
- Very strong work ethic with confidence to work autonomously
- Sales and business development experience
- Hubspot CRM experience is a strong plus
- Prior Medical industry and/or start-up experience a huge plus
- Highly motivated to succeed both individually and with a young and fast-growing company
