The Facilities Technician is responsible for performing a wide variety of routine repair and preventative maintenance tasks required to keep our production buildings, facilities equipment, and properties operating properly, safely, and efficiently via work orders. This role will also support in janitorial duties and in maintaining a sanitary environment for product and employee safety.
\n- Completes work orders and assigned tasks.
- Performs preventative maintenance programs/tasks for facility and production equipment as required, including but not limited to service on HVAC systems, plumbing an irrigation systems, electrical systems, trash, recycling and compost, and any other systems critical to operations.
- Responsible for minor repairs of buildings, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry and painting.
- Follows and ensures compliance with all applicable OSHA, State, Local and Company regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Responds to emergency calls, makes immediate repairs when necessary and assists subcontractors if further repairs are necessary.
- Supports site readiness and installation of new systems and equipment.
- Reports all facility safety and security issues to management.
- Performs general cleaning of facility, equipment, and tools.
- Ensure that maintenance or cleaning activities do not pose contamination risk to the products.
- Follow proper waste removal practices.
- Performs cleaning duties as assigned including janitorial services as needed.
- Performs special projects as assigned.
- Assists in coordinating subcontractor services for completion of extensive or complex projects as requested by manager.
- 1 year of experience in maintenance, facilities operations, or related field.
- Experience working with laboratory, mechanical, or industrial equipment preferred.
- Flexibility in a quick moving, growing industry. Experience in a startup and/or high-growth environment preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Ability to operate a computer including Excel, Word, Outlook and SharePoint.
- Ability to research issues, contact manufacturer/supplier and complete tasks.
- Basic experience working with HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing and Carpentry.
- Must be "hands-on" in completing maintenance work.
- Some weekend and evening work required (emergency).
- Must meet age requirement as outlined by state cannabis agencies.
- Able to pass all background checks/fingerprinting as required by state cannabis agencies.
- Able to provide valid badging/credentials as required by state cannabis agencies
- Maintain regular and punctual attendance.
- Must follow PPE and Safety guidelines as required, in each zoned area within facility, while completing work.
- Must be able to stand for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to constantly position self throughout task at hand.
- Occasionally ascends/descends a ladder to service various equipment.
- The person in this position needs to frequently move about the inside and outside of buildings.
- Occasionally works in outside conditions that include exposure to inclement weather, heat, and humidity.
- Requires good manual dexterity, coordination, and stamina.
- Frequently lifts, loads, unloads, moves, positions, and transports items up to 50 pounds.
- This person may be exposed to dust, kief, cleaning chemicals, and fumes. Although systems are in place to remove these byproducts, there is still exposure to some degree.
