Job Summary The desired candidate will possess knowledge and experience in X-ray. The candidate must be proficient in X-ray and have the capability to work in a very fast-paced environment performing physician requested images.
Requirements :
- Operates X-ray equipment to produce optimal-quality diagnostic images as ordered by physicians in a timely and cost efficient manner.
- Experience with digital X-ray equipment is a plus.
- Assists the physician in performing outpatient fluoroscopic procedures with the use of a C-arm.
- Explains procedure and positions to patient
- Reviews and evaluates video monitor to determine if images are satisfactory for diagnostic purposes.
- Adheres to strict Universal Precautions and Blood Borne Pathogens protocol
- Performs a variety of clerical procedures involved in the processing of patients and medical records. File and retrieve x-ray / MRI and reports as needed and / or requested. Pulls all x-ray images / MRI and burns CD's for upcoming surgeries.
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists certification in Radiography (ARRT-R) is required.
- Texas Department of State Health Services Medical Radiologic Technologist Certification (Texas DSHS-MRT), General (G) category is required.
- Must be a Rad Tech to apply
- Computer experience, working with window-based software and Microsoft Office, Greenway PrimeSuite EMR, Vistek PACS a plus.
Qualified candidates will have excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills and be able to be a member of a multi-disciplinary team. Experience is preferred, but not required. Recent graduates with references encouraged to apply.
Orthopedic practice with multiple DFW locations. Our facilities include a medical office building and imaging.
