Position: Case Manager II-III Mental Health Docket [1250]
Program: Amarillo, Texas – Mental Health Docket
Salary range:
Case Manager I: $40,809.60 Annually
Case Manager II: $43,305.60 Annually
Case Manager III: $46,009.60 Annually
Shift available: Full-time
Essential duties and responsibilities:
- Staff will maintain ethical and professional communications at all times using respectful Trauma-Informed Care language
- The primary responsibility of this position will be that of the case manager for the Mental Health Docket Program with the Municipal Courts
- The position will primarily be officed in the Randall County Detention Center where arraignments for these courts occur
- This position will be responsible for: 16.22 screenings, collecting information, tracking orders received and completed within a year's time frame, care coordination, crisis management, building relationships with arraignments staff to work and formalize, expand advocacy efforts, communicate with judicial staff about alternatives to continued incarceration
- Engagement, crisis intervention and documentation practices will be required at the highest standard
- The Case Manager will promote Recovery Plan goals as alternatives to continued incarceration, collect and report data about the program such as number of individuals served and rates of recidivism, follow up with docket participants and serve as back up for other established Jail Services Programs
- The treatment effort will concentrate on building natural supports from the least restrictive environment
- This service will be consistent with the core service requirements of a CCBHC
- This position will assist and collaborate with other justice-involved treatment providers and law enforcement agencies to evaluate and make recommendations to the court for recovery based treatment options
- Adheres to the TPC Business Code of Conduct and reports concern if ethical and/or business standards defined in the code are compromised
Required qualifications to be successful in the job:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university with a major in psychology, sociology, social work, counseling, or other related human services field for QMHP credentialing
- For Case Manager I, no experience required
- For Case Manager II, one (1) year experience of behavioral health case management
- For Case Manager III, two (2) years experience of behavioral health case management
- Graduate work in a related field may be substituted for up to one (1) year of experience
- Must be able to pass a background check to the satisfaction on Randall County Detention Center
- Must have a valid Texas driver’s license and be insurable under agency vehicle policy
- Must be 18 years of age or older
Preferred qualifications to be successful in the job:
- Experience in the provision of behavioral health/mental health services within the criminal justice systems
