We pride ourselves on creating a welcoming environment for houseplant enthusiasts of all levels and are looking for a dedicated Store Associate to join our team.
We’re seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Store Associate to assist with various tasks, including packing online orders, working the retail storefront, supporting plant care and inventory management. If you have a love for plants and a desire to assist customers in their green journey, this position is for you!
Key Responsibilities:
- Packing Online Orders: Accurately and carefully pack plants and related products for shipping to ensure they arrive in excellent condition.
- Retail Front Assistance: Greet and assist customers with their plant selections, offering knowledgeable advice on care, maintenance & product recommendations.
- Plant Care: Participate in daily plant care routines as directed, including watering, repotting, pruning and monitoring plant health to ensure vibrant and thriving stock.
- Propagation Support: Assist with plant propagation and other tasks to maintain a healthy inventory and enhance our plant offerings.
-Inventory Management: Help manage inventory, including restocking shelves, organizing products and carrying out regular stock counts for both retail and online shops.
- Store Presentation: Maintain a clean, organized & visually appealing retail space that showcases our products effectively.
Qualifications:
- Passion for houseplants is essential. Above average working knowledge of houseplants with a focus on Aroids and Hoya is a requirement.
- Previous retail experience is preferred but not mandatory; a customer-service mindset is crucial.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently in a team environment.
- Ability to lift and transport plants and boxes up to 50 lbs.
- Excellent communication skills and a friendly disposition that encourages customer engagement.
Scheduling:
Required packing shifts are Sundays from 10:30am to 5pm and Mondays from 8am to 2pm. Applicants MUST have availability to work BOTH of these shifts to be considered.
Retail shifts will be assigned as needed during store hours Thursday-Saturday between 9:45am and 6pm. Possibility for other shifts throughout the week depending on business needs.
This is a PT position with an average of 10-20 hours a week. Starting pay will be based on experience.
