Job Summary: Applicant must possess an entrepreneurial spirit with an ambitious and innovative growth mindset. Assist in all aspects of the business operations for the Texas Rangers broadcasting department. Must have a strong desire to work in the sports industry, with specific knowledge of the game of baseball and a strong understanding of the business operation.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF POSITION INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:
Seek and identify new creative opportunities for developing broadcast business growth.
Assist the broadcasting department with developing new ideas based on analyzing consumer feedback.
Help with identifying new product service offerings through capitalizing on additional areas of interest.
Assist in identifying new technology or production methods to better the quality of the broadcast
Facilitate and innovate new deliverables for use in developing and growing coverage opportunities.
Review fan feedback & correspondence with fans in order to identify additional opportunities
Assistance in other areas of the Broadcasting department as needed.
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience working in sports broadcasting, media relations, or a similar role.
Bachelor’s degree or working toward a degree in Communications, Sports Management, Journalism, Broadcasting, or a related field.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with broadcasters, media members, and fans.
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and familiarity with content management systems.
Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as required by the baseball schedule.
Positive attitude, team-oriented mindset, and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
