JOB SUMMARY: The Promotions Intern provides support to the Ballpark Entertainment department staff by assisting with daily office functions, as well as coordinating on-field elements. This internship will run from March until October.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF POSITION INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:
Assist in development and coordination of all in-game elements at each Texas Rangers home game including, but not limited to, pre-game presentations, ballpark experiences, in-game contests, and in-game recognitions
Involved with the National Anthem, God Bless America, and performer program by scheduling participants, managing participant contact and payment information, and communicating participant information to other staffs that need certain details on a game day basis
Assist in coordinating the efforts of the Six Shooter in-game promotional team
Involved with the creation and development of in-game events, promotions, and special event nights
Assist with In-game Experience sales
Manage all scoreboard messages, including website creation and management, as well as customer relations.
Assist with Jr. Rangers Club events and promotions
Compile and organize membership data for the Jr. Rangers Club
Receive and reply to internal and external promotional and Jr. Rangers Club inquiries
Assists and updates nightly activities related to the Promotions Kiosk operated on game nights
All other duties as assigned
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience coordinating events on headset at a collegiate or professional level is preferred
Interest in gaining knowledge of promotions and ballpark productions
Able to meet deadlines and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Excellent customer service skills
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
Must be able to work evenings, weekends and holidays, as required
Demonstrates creativity and problem-solving skills
Qualified applicants are required to be available to work weekdays beginning in March and all game days and major team events for the 2024 Season, including All-Star Week
