Position Summary
The Customer Service Specialist is an entry level role with the opportunity to learn Property & Casualty Insurance while supporting the Commercial Lines & Personal Lines Account Managers. This position will provide a broad level of organizational and administrative assistance.

The Customer Service Specialist is an entry level role with the opportunity to learn Property & Casualty Insurance while supporting the Commercial Lines & Personal Lines Account Managers. This position will provide a broad level of organizational and administrative assistance.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
- Interact with insurance sales producers, clients and insurance carriers to provide coverage information and provide policy recommendations where necessary
- Complete a variety of day-to-day client service transactions, including but not limited to endorsements, certificates, binders, cancellations
- Provide exceptional customer service to internal and external customers
- Properly and effectively manage incoming phone calls and walk-in customers
- Assist customers with billing inquiries, manage payments, and ensure timely processing of payments
- Assist customers with filing insurance claims, gather necessary information and follow up on claim status with carriers
- Release carrier downloads in the Agency Management System
- Follow agency procedures to ensure the Agency Management System is maintained and updated
- Thoroughly understand and follow all underwriting, rating and compliance requirements

- Sorts, processes, and distributes mail.
- Maintains office supplies.

- Available to travel, as needed.

- Must have excellent analysis, observation and decision-making skills.

- Comply with federal and state regulations as well as all established Bank policies and procedures.

Qualifications, Education and Experience Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Secure Texas General Lines Property & Casualty license with 120 days of employment
- Strong organization and time-management skills.
- Team player with excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
- Flexibility, professionalism, ability to work in a highly stressful environment and perform a variety of tasks with numerous interruptions is necessary.
- Positive attitude, self-motivator, goal-oriented with the ability to foster strong relationships.
- Bilingual, fluent in both English and Spanish, preferred but not required
- Ability to use a PC
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Must be able to be physically present in the office to perform job duties.
