Licensed Insurance Agent - Harlingen, TX

Position Summary

We are seeking a motivated and dynamic licensed insurance Agent to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service while assisting clients in selecting the right insurance products to meet their needs. This role requires strong sales skills, the ability to analyze client requirements, and the capability to negotiate effectively. Bilingual candidates, especially those fluent in Spanish, are highly encouraged to apply.

Principal Duties And Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough analyses of clients' insurance needs and recommend appropriate coverage options.
• Negotiate terms and conditions of insurance policies with clients.
• Ensure that calls are being made on applications generated by leads and that all quotes are followed promptly, observing company guidelines.
• Own and monitor daily inside and outside marketing activities
• Manage sales administration tasks, including maintaining accurate records of client interactions and transactions within the Agency Management System.
• Stay updated on industry trends, products, and regulations to provide informed advice to clients.
• Collaborate with team members to achieve sales targets and enhance overall customer satisfaction.
• Set monthly sales goals approved by leadership and meet them consistently.
• Attend sales training and company events as needed
• Mentor and train other team members as necessary

• Comply with federal and state regulations as well as all established Bank and/or Division policies and procedures.

Qualifications, Education And Experience Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent, plus 5 years of directly applicable experience
• Active Limited Lines insurance license
• Insurance designation (i.e., CIC, AAI, ACSR) desirable
• Working knowledge of EPIC preferred
• Strong organization & time management skills with keen attention to detail
• Team player with excellent written & verbal communication skills
• Positive attitude and self-motivated, with the ability to foster strong relationships
• Bilingual, fluent in both English and Spanish, preferred but not required
• Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word & Excel. Overall proficiency in using technology as a tool to maximize efficiency, productivity, and quality.
• Must be able to be physically present at the Bank to perform job duties.

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour Commissions
