Position Summary
The ODP Specialist is responsible for assisting internal customers via phone and email regarding overdraft questions. They are also responsible for internal processes related to overdraft protection; such as overdraft reinstatement, adding or removing overdraft protection on existing accounts, mailing notices, and monitoring overdrawn accounts.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
- Work closely with bank managers and provide system support to branch staff, including explaining policies and procedures of the overdraft protection program.
- Run daily reports and mail out all collection notices and letters to customers.
- Monitor accounts for charge off and work with central operations to report to Early Warning.
- Report accounts to Transworld Systems Inc (TSI) for collection notices to be generated.
- Handle customer payments and notification to TSI as needed.
- Balance charge off GL monthly.
- Serves as the in-house expert for the product.
- Assists with writing policies, procedures and projects.
- Process entries to various charge off general ledgers.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to efficiently make sound decisions.
- Ability to exercise discretion and handle sensitive and confidential issues.
- Complies with federal and state regulations and all established bank policies and procedures.
- Perform research requests as needed.
- Assist Quality Control as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

- Individual should be able to work under high pressure situations and a stressful atmosphere and then should remain composed.
- All directors, officers and/or employees are subject to civil and criminal penalties for noncompliance with BSA and other related regulatory requirements that could lead up to prison terms of 20 years per offense and multi-million dollars in fines.

Education and Experience Requirements
- A self-starting individual who possesses a High School Diploma or equivalent and at least 1 year of work experience.
- Previous ODP support experience preferred but not required.
- Strong problem solving and analytical abilities.
- Ability to work with all levels of management.
- Basic keyboarding, typing 40-50 wpm and knowledge of office equipment.
- Must have working knowledge of Microsoft Office and 10-key.
- Mental concentration is required to perform concurrent tasks and meet deadlines while tolerating frequent interruptions.
- Must be available to work a 40-hour work week with flexible work schedule, Monday through Friday, 8:00 am – 6:00 pm as needed.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
