Position Summary
The TRB Wealth Management Advisor will be a pro-active self-starter that enjoys the challenge of working with clients and prospective clients to design effective long-term investment portfolios. The Advisor must be able to communicate effectively with clients regarding financial planning and long-term investment strategies, support existing clients over the life cycle of an investment relationship, and work closely with area banking executives and centers-of-influence to develop new business. This team member will join a fast-growing, entrepreneurial organization and there will be opportunities for development in a number of different capacities, including manager due diligence and portfolio construction along with the traditional wealth management advisor role. The WM Advisor will be the first point of contact for wealth management clients in the Houston region, supported by the broader wealth management team.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
- Partner with bankers, Trust Officers and broader Client Service Team to initiate, build and strengthen client relationships.
- Design and manage discretionary portfolios for clients within the context of the appropriate investment objective and portfolio allocations.
- Monitor investment performance and asset allocation and review portfolios with clients regularly.
- Serve as an analytical resource to the wealth management team, to include equity and fixed income research and manager selection.
- Handle sensitive, confidential, proprietary information with discretion.
- Build relationships with bank branch employees to educate and communicate investment information in support of banking clients with investment needs.
