General Purpose
Seeking Administrative Assistant / Receptionist / Data Entry Clerk for immediate hire onsite. Pay is $22 / hour.
The Administrative Assistant / Receptionist / Data Entry Clerk position provides general administrative and clerical support daily and handles phone inquiries. The position supplies information regarding the organization to all callers and manages multiple data entry tasks.
The Administrative Assistant / Receptionist / Data Entry Clerk is a full-time, salaried position. Permanent compensation package includes vacation, sick leave, personal days, holidays, and other employee benefits, as well as free parking in secure garage in downtown Austin.
TRTA is a non-smoking office environment. Dress code is business casual attire.
Work hours are Monday through Friday, 8 : 00 a.m. to 5 : 00 p.m. unless otherwise specified by the Executive Director or Deputy Director. This position will require daily in-person presence at TRTA’s downtown Austin office.
Primary Tasks and Responsibilities
Serves as primary receptionist, answering multi-line telephone system, accepting membership payments, and taking and relaying messages for staff members quickly and efficiently while maintaining professional courtesy.
Provides general administrative and clerical support daily for Membership and other departments. Tasks include but are not limited to alphabetizing, sorting batches, scanning, processing, ordering office / breakroom supplies, managing member requests, and mail room duties.
Performs multiple data entry tasks daily such as entering memberships into IMIS database, logging checks, and updating member contact information.
Operates office equipment such as envelope-sealing machine, letter opener, postage machine, scanner, photocopying machine, and computer.
Other duties as assigned by Executive Director or Deputy Director.

Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent preferred, Associate’s degree required
Advanced Knowledge of customer service principles and practices required
Advanced knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures required
Experience managing a multi-phone line system required
Knowledge of computers and relevant software applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Google Docs and Google Calendar required
Experience using IMIS database or similar database program preferred
