The Branch Operations Specialist II is primarily responsible for all customer-facing transaction processing. This includes teller transactions as well as branch cash balancing, reviewing electronic deposits, and assisting with operational tasks. This position will also be responsible for answering branch phones and incoming chats. This position works closely with the Relationship Support Team as well as Treasury Management Specialists to ensure all internal rules and regulations are followed, have a strong ability to multitask, and possess strong attention to detail to ensure the accuracy of all transaction processing. This position is also responsible for assisting with team training and branch float coverage.
Responsibilities:
- Uphold all TSB core values.
- Uphold and follow all internal processes, procedures, and regulations.
- Full understanding of all bank policies and procedures relative to the position.
- Provide customer services such as cashing checks, receiving deposits, making withdrawals, receiving loan payments, making credit card advances, preparing change orders for commercial customers, wires, ordering checks, debit cards, etc.
- Balance cash drawer and branch vault daily.
- Processing of mobile and merchant electronic deposits daily.
- Process various Night-Drop and Mail transactions as needed.
- Assisting with assigned Relationship Support and Treasury Management Specialist’s tasks.
- Responsible for responding to client emails, phones, and chats in a designated time frame.
- Complete understanding of all policies and procedures relative to responsibilities.
- Additional responsibilities as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
- High School diploma, general education degree (GED), or equivalent required.
- At least two years’ previous cash handling and customer service experience required.
- At least two years of banking experience- preferably knowledge and training in transaction operations.
- Strong ability to multitask and possess strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy of all transaction processing.
- Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
- High level of time management, organizational and problem-solving skills with the ability to multi-task, strong attention to detail, and accountability.
- Knowledge of state and federal banking compliance regulations and operational policies.
