What are the responsibilities and job description for the PATIENT ACCOUNT COLLECTOR (FT) TEXAS SPINE AND JOINT HOSPITAL TYLER, TEXAS position at Texas Spine and Joint Hospital (TSJH)?
Patient Account Collector is responsible for review, follow-up, and collection of Insurance payments. Maintain insurance logs, identify payer trends, appeal claim denials, identify over/under payments, and make necessary telephone calls. Must be able to use Excel spreadsheets. Hours are Monday- Friday from 8-4:30pm or 7:30 - 4pm.
(hours are somewhat flexible). High school diploma, or equivalent with one year of healthcare experience required including familiarity with Medicare, HIPPA and insurance regulations. Commercial insurance knowledge is a plus.
