Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Optician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for helping patients select and fit eyeglasses and contact lenses, ensuring they receive the best possible vision care. You will work closely with both patients and healthcare providers to deliver exceptional optical services in a clinical setting.

Duties

• Assist patients in selecting frames and lenses that best suit their needs and preferences.
• Conduct fittings for eyeglasses and contact lenses, ensuring proper alignment and comfort.
• Utilize aseptic techniques when handling optical equipment and materials.
• Maintain accurate patient records, including medical coding for insurance purposes.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals in pediatrics, senior care, and general clinic settings to provide comprehensive eye care.
• Perform basic laboratory tasks related to lens fabrication and adjustments.
• Measure vital signs when necessary, ensuring a holistic approach to patient care.
• Stay updated on the latest developments in optical technology and practices.

Experience
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills:

• Proficiency in optical techniques and knowledge of physiology relevant to eye care.
• Experience with electronic health record systems such as Epic is preferred.
• Familiarity with pediatric optometry practices is a plus.
• Previous experience in a clinical or laboratory setting is advantageous.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills are essential for success in this role.

Pay: $16.67 - $17.67 per hour
