- Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 to include Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, and SharePoint.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with data management.
- Experience with website and social media management.
- Experience using communication platforms such as Zoom and Microsoft Teams for online meetings, file sharing and collaboration.
- Experience utilizing Adobe Sign and/or Adobe Acrobat, and Texas State systems including, but not limited to, Banner, CLSS Courseleaf, Logi Degree Works, and Catsweb or functionally similar products..

The Administrative Assistant Il position in the Department of Health Informatics & Information Management (HIIM) provides administrative and general support to the Department Chair, Administrative Assistant III, faculty, and students.
The Administrative Assistant Il position in the Department of Health Informatics & Information Management (HIIM) provides administrative and general support to the Department Chair, Administrative Assistant III, faculty, and students.
Job Duties
Provide administrative support and perform a variety of work activities including:
- Coordination with administrative staff at CHP Dean’s Office and TXST Global.
- Oversee and manage routine operations and professionalism of the department.
- Answer phone, greet and assist students, faculty, staff, and visitors and maintaining confidentiality.
- Provide departmental support to faculty in the online HIIM programs serving students worldwide, the College of Health Professions and the TXST Global initiative.
- Plan/coordinate special events.
- Establish and maintain organization of paper and electronic files per records retention policy.
- Provide departmental support using TXST software such as Canvas, Degree Works, Banner, Course Leaf CLSS, SAP and Gato.
- Duties associated with supporting specifically the online BSHIM and MHIM programs.
- Provide departmental support for student recruitment and engagement.
- Create database queries and generate reports.
- Maintain departmental website.
- Manage social media accounts.
- General office duties: process key management items, work orders, purchase orders, processing invoices and payments, maintain inventory, run errands, copy, prepare/distribute mail to ensure efficient office operations. .
- Other duties as assigned.
