Required Qualifications:
- Knowledge of light, sound, and visual systems.
- Proven experience in audio support and technology.
- Knowledge of computer hardware and software.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Familiar use of maintenance tools and equipment associated with AV/technology.
- Proven ability to provide excellent customer/client care.
- Current ANSI/ISO General CTS certification or ability to obtain within 6 months of employment.
- State of Texas Drivers License.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Understanding of conference and meeting/event planning work.
- Experience working with students in higher education environment.
- Experience troubleshooting technology and computer issues.
- Experience supporting virtual/hybrid live streams and video conferencing.
- Ability to read and write technical documents including manuals, CAD drawings, and floor plans.
Job Description:
Responsible for planning and coordinating technical and audio visual production for multiple university events at the LBJ Student Center and participating outdoor spaces.
Job Duties:
- Work as the lead AV Coordinator with the Conference Services Team.
- Purchase audio-visual equipment and software.
- Train and supervise full time and part time staff in A/V production.
- Maintain accurate inventory of equipment and tools.
- Provide video conferencing support.
- Work flexible hours including nights, weekends and as needed. This is based on schedule of events or activities.
