Required Qualifications: Applicants must specifically address how they meet these required qualifications to meet the requirements of the position.
- Basic budget principles and procedures; electronic financial software, training manuals.
- Mircosoft Office, including but not limited to Excel.
- Experience balancing and reconciling.
- Working as a team member on most tasks of jobs; establishing rapport with a variety of clients and interacting courteously with others; determining ways to minimize cost to stay within budget range and save department funds.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with SAP, Marketplace, and Concur.
- Experience in higher education budgeting processes and procedures.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work under general supervision, learn quickly, multi-task and prioritize workload.
Job Description
Responsible for monitoring and administering budgets at the department/office level. Responsible for providing budget change data entry, technical advice and support to department/office account managers.
Job Duties
- Assist Director with all budget accounts.
- Reconciliations for all budgets.
- Process invoices and checks for accuracy.
- Maintain and assist director/faculty with departmental operating, internal grant accounts, research, startups.
- Travel applications (students/faculty) – coordinate travel funds.
- Pre-approval of purchase requisitions prior to preparation.
- Process paperwork for scholarship recipients.
- Create purchase requisitions and associated tracking, receiving and troubleshooting.
- Handles scholarship fund balances for committee.
- Completes all school deposits for the Fashion Merchandising program and the Dietetic program.
- Filing – accounting information.
- Order general office supplies, printing requests, forms, and printer paper.
- Ordering of all lab supplies for nutrition faculty.
