- Must possess mechanical knowledge of lock/key equipment and systems.
- Experience cutting keys.
- Experience auditing and maintaining inventory.
Preferred Qualifications
- At least one (1) year of professional experience in this trade.
- Locksmith license or certification.
- Experience in higher education and/or government.
- Experience using AiM and SAP.
Job Description
Responsible for installing, repairing, rekeying, and maintaining all locks on campus. Responsible for installing, repairing, rekeying, and maintaining all locks on campus.
Job Duties
- Performs installation, re-keying, preventative maintenance, and repairs to mechanical lock and key systems and equipment on the University campus.
- Issues and receives keys, audits and maintains keys and key inventory, and maintains hard copy and electronic records.
- Ensures security of keys.
Additional Information to Applicants
- Must be able to work on call on a rotating basis with other shop personnel.
- This position requires driving University vehicles.
