Required Qualifications : Applicants must specifically address how they meet these required qualifications to meet the requirements of the position.
- A minimum of five years of experience in progressively responsible leadership roles in academic success.
- Experience with new student orientation and on-boarding processes, advising and transfer processes, and compliance in the aforementioned areas.
- Experience in working successfully with stakeholders in the student success division, undergraduate admissions, registrar's office, financial aid, and academic colleges.
- Skill in researching and assembling data related to student academic success outcomes.
- Ability to take the initiative, problem-solve, exercise judgment, and demonstrate critical thinking skills.
- Ability to negotiate and partner with diverse internal and external constituents.
- Ability to read, interpret, and effectively communicate university policies and procedures, accreditation standards, and state and federal rules and regulations.
- Ability to successfully manage a staff of professional-level employees.
- Excellent and effective communication skills and ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Master's degree.

The Assistant / Associate Vice Provost for Academic Advising and Transitions is responsible for leading operations and management of programs and staff associated with academic success initiatives, in specific regard to academic advising, first-year introductory seminar course, and transfer initiatives and transitions.
