Major / Essential Functions :
Participates in course administration and instruction for the dental school curriculum
Develops and delivers an integrated curriculum, which blends basic science and clinical concepts, in collaboration with faculty members in other disciplines
Employs multiple teaching methods including case-based instruction, large- and small-group discussion, lecture, demonstration, simulation, team-based learning, and distance education
Provides formative and summative assessment of dental student performance
Provides individual support, feedback, and advice to dental students
Works closely with the course and curriculum committees, fellow faculty, and key administrators to accomplish the goals and objectives of the dental school's curriculum
Engages in advancement of scientific knowledge through research and / or scholarship
Contributes to the community through academically-related public service complimentary to the institutional mission
Serves the academic community through participations in institutional governance, such as committee work and other administrative duties
Engages in clinical practice relevant to the area of training {for candidates with D.M.D. / D.D.S. degree)
Adheres to institutional policies and procedures
Demonstrates professionalism in accordance with the Woody L. Hunt School of Dental Medicine Declaration of Faculty Professional Responsibility

Preferred Qualifications :
Experience in teaching clinically-integrated human embryology and anatomy for dental students
Experience in the use of medical / dental imaging and clinical case-based scenarios in the teaching of human embryology and anatomy
Experience in the development and delivery of an integrated dental curriculum
Experience with innovative teaching methods such as interactive large- and small-group formats, laboratory-based instruction, team-based learning, case-based learning, problem-based learning, and distance education
Experience with curriculum management software systems
Participation in national organizations or committees devoted to dental education
Experience in dental education scholarship
Experience in the development of grant proposals and the management of extramural funding
Emerging or established regional or national reputation for associate professor or higher rank

Required Qualifications :
