Major/Essential Functions
Provides clinical services and teaching of ultrasound
Interprets and studies images in all modalities of ultrasound
Mentors and instructs residents, fellows, and medical students in research projects as requested or assigned by the department chair
Lectures and holds conferences, and participate in related meetings and school functions
Engages in advancement of scientific knowledge through research and/or scholarship
Adheres to institutional and departmental polices and procedures
Demonstrates professionalism in accordance with the Paul L. Foster School of Medicine's Declaration of Faculty Professional Responsibilities
Ensures compliance with HIPAA and billing regulations
Serves the academic community through participation in institutional governance, such as committee work and other administrative duties
Contributes to the community through academically-related public service complementary to the institutional mission
Upholds and promotes the values-based culture of Texas Tech Health El Paso
Required Qualifications
M.D. or D.O. degree
Texas Medical License, or eligible for medical license in the State of Texas
Successful completion of an ACGME-accredited residency program in Radiology
Preferred Qualifications
Board certified in radiology by the American Board of Radiology for the rank of Assistant Professor or higher
Established or emerging regional or national reputation for the rank of Associate Processor or higher
Successful completion of fellowship training in ultrasound
