Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate part-time High School English Teacher to join our educational team. Our secular studies (non-religious classes) take place four days a week / Mondays through Thursdays from 3 pm until 6 : 35 pm. (a total of 3 1 / 2 hours per day). The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating an engaging and supportive learning environment that fosters student growth and academic success. This role requires a strong commitment to educating students, utilizing innovative teaching methods, and adapting to diverse learning needs.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement lesson plans that align with the curriculum and meet the diverse needs of students.
- Manage classroom behavior effectively to create a positive learning atmosphere.
- Provide individualized support and tutoring for students who require additional assistance.
- Use English Language Arts knowledge to develop and teach engaging lessons.
- Engage students in learning and able to develop their writing skills.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate regularly with parents regarding academic performance.
- Adapt teaching methods to accommodate students with education needs or different learning styles.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with educational trends and methodologies.
