Established Commercial Trailer Manufacturer seeking honest, reliable Fabrication Department Parts Associate with a strong work ethic and excellent customer service skills. Retail/Wholesale parts sales experience is Required. Must have Manufacturing, Fabrication, Automotive, Agricultural, Power Sports or related Parts Sales experience.
Required Skills:
· Knowledge of trailers and components in general
· Experience with point of sale programs
· Knowledge of and ability to monitor inventory in order to determine which parts require special ordering
· Knowledge of parts Inventory procedures
· Ability to search part numbers or to use the computer and standard catalogs
· Ability to monitor bins and determine which parts need reordering
· Ability to accurately track parts
· Ability to monitor lost sales for inventory control
· Ability to assist Manager in analyzing and resolving discrepancies between computer inventory and actual parts on hand
· Knowledge of procedures for ordering special parts
· Ability to identify and acknowledge the receipt of warranty parts
Position Summary
The Fabrication Department Parts Associate:
· Contributes to managing inventory and ordering parts and works to meet customer and technician needs in a timely manner
· Accurately determine which parts are in inventory, require reordering, or must be specially ordered
· Assists the manager in resolving discrepancies between the computer inventory and the actual parts available in bins
· Must research the availability of certain parts, either within the facility or from other sources as necessary and must be able to search part numbers using the computer or standard catalogs.
· Is aware of seasonal requirements of parts
Operations and Expectations
Daily Activities:
· Provide Technicians with parts as required
· Control showroom inventory to ensure maximum sales and customer satisfaction
· Process Parts Invoices or other transactions
· Order and Receive Parts
· Locate and label parts and maintain inventory of stock
· Monitor inventory levels by performing daily cycle counts and full inventory counts as needed
· Mark and store parts for Special Orders
· Ensures that parts arrive correct and in a timely manner
· Clean and maintain all display inventory and shelving throughout dealership as needed
· Clean and maintain work area as needed
· Uses dealership equipment and resources safely and proficiently
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $35,000.00 - $52,000.00 per year
