Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the physician during surgical procedures
- Prepare the procedure room and maintain sterile techniques, including scrubbing, gowning, and gloving team members and ensure all necessary supplies are ready.
- Assist with patient preparation, transportation, and monitoring during procedures.
- Clean and organize the procedure room after surgeries and manage supplies.
- Enter patient medical histories and prescriptions into the EMR system.
- Educate and respond to patient inquiries in person and over the phone.
- Support general medical assistant duties, such as exam room preparation, patient assistance, and scribing as needed.
- Ensure patient safety and follow all medical protocols.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree
- Experience:
- 1 year of medical office experience preferred, but highly motivated recent graduates or gap-year students are encouraged to apply.
- Familiarity with vital signs, documentation review, and EMR systems is a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) required.
- Availability:
- Able to remain at job position for at least 1 year.
